Warrior Training
Hello and welcome to my Warrior Training Program. My name is Victor Rowse, founder of the Warrior Flow Academy, and for the past decade, I have been focused purely on unconventional strength training with equipment such as hammers, axes, kettlebells, clubs, and maces. These are the best and only tools you need to build real world strength.
In the history of strength training, many pieces of equipment have come and gone and been forgotten about – the bosu ball, the Power Plate, the TRX, to name just a few. But some have stood the test of time – clubs and kettlebells. What do they have in common? Firstly, they are imbalanced objects due to the distance between the handle and center of mass. This distance and asymmetry mean that they are all swung in circular patterns, not lifted in straight lines. Secondly, they have all been used for thousands of years by warriors preparing for battle. Resistance machines may be more widely used today because they allow people to grow muscle and feel like they’ve had a good workout without having to develop any technique, coordination, or balance. But if your goal is to become strong to be able to handle real life challenges – hand-to-hand combat, lifting and carrying a person in distress, any type of racket sport or sport which involves throwing or striking, then you are best served by using the training tools of our warrior ancestors – clubs and kettlebells.
